Paul Bains and Keith Tomlinson founded Tilton Capital in June 2022. We created Tilton to spot opportunities others miss.  

Our anchor client is Cadogan Park Advisors Inc., a Vancouver based portfolio manager, where Paul Bains is founder and CEO.

We provide bespoke research, analysis and due diligence of European and North American equities to insitutional investors.

Many listed companies lack analyst coverage but offer compelling returns on capital.  ETFs dominate capital flows though allocate indiscriminantly.

Our approach uncovers equities that are  undervalued, ideally ones that are long term compounders currently out of favour.

We take a private equity approach, combining fundamental analysis with in-depth due diligence, providing long term investors with price-independent valuation of companies.

Our research is bottom-up and fundamentally driven, looking for businesses whose products command pricing power by creating customer habit that is hard for competitors to replace.  

We look for competent management teams who are disciplined capital allocators.  Our fundamental analysis identifies opportunities, and our due diligence ensures we understand the businesses.

Tilton House is John Maynard Keynes’ country home in Sussex, England. He is the most influential 20th century economist and one of its greatest investors. 

Keynes along with John Burr Williams, Benjamin Graham, Philip Fisher and Warren Buffett redefined investment thinking in the early 20th century, combining business and economics to invest for the long term.  

Our favourite thought leaders today include Michael Mauboussin and Aswath Damodaran, who continue to build the body of knowledge in fundamental valuation.
