Keith Tomlinson
Keith is Chief Executive and co-head of investment research at Tilton and has over 30 years of investment experience. He has had number of progressively senior roles at investment firms in Canada and the U.K. Keith is an experienced portfolio manager and highly adept at investment due diligence. Prior to founding Tilton, Keith was the principal at Tomlinson Research, a London based investment consulting firm. Paul, Keith and Guy first met in 1986 while attending UBC in Vancouver. When not diving deeply into annual company reports, Keith enjoys reading, sports and hill walking in the countryside near his home in Kent.
Paul Bains, CIM, MBA
Paul is Director and co-head of the investment research at Tilton and has over 30 years of investment experience. He is the principal and portfolio manager at Cadogan Park Advisors – a cross border investment management firm based in Vancouver. Prior to founding Cadogan, Paul was the CCO, portfolio manager and expatriate team head for a boutique investment company. Although based in Vancouver, Paul interacts with his diverse group of clients and family offices globally. In his time-off, Paul enjoys binge reading non-fiction novels and spending time with his 3 year old golden lab.
Guy Caplan, CFA
Guy is a member of the Advisory Board at Tilton and has over 30 years of investment experience. He is most recently a board member, former president and CFO of Ship 2 Shore Corrosion Prevention Solutions, a supplier of anti-corrosion products to the US and Canadian navies. Prior to this, Guy was CEO of Pilot House Capital, a Vancouver based US equity fund with an event driven strategy, a Managing Partner at Raven Rock Capital, a credit focused hedge fund, and Portfolio Manager at Argent Group, a US convertible arbitrage fund. Guy graduated from UBC with a degree in economics in 1990 and has an MBA from Queen’s University in 1994.
